Get a sneak peek at some of the 2016 vintages we will be bottling this summer, as well as our just released 2014 Portejas, Silver medal winner at the 2017 San Francisco International Wine Competition. Winemaker, Grayson Davies, will be doing a little thievery in the wine cellar, pulling some tank samples and serving them up with various tapas. The menu will include:
Estate Chardonnay paired with Shrimp Ceviche Skewers
Citrus marinated shrimp, jicama, avocado, onion, and tomato skewers served in a lettuce wrap with a light dusting of microplaned peppers.
Estate red blend, Apex, paired with Antipasto Skewers
A blend of a variety of traditional Italian ingredients that includes cured meat, bocconcini, olives, tortellini, and pepperoncini marinated in herbs and olive oil.
Tempranillo paired with Mini BLT Sandwiches
Toasted sourdough bread with layers of smoked bacon, farm fresh tomatoes, arugula, and a garlic aioli.
Estate Cabernet Sauvignon paired with Tenderloin Crostini with Béarnaise
Thinly sliced rare tenderloin on buttered crostini with béarnaise.
Portejas paired with Stilton & Blinis with a Blueberry Raspberry Salsa
Mini wheat pancakes with a slice of Stilton cheese and topped with a sweet but tangy berry salsa for an explosion of tastes for the palate.
