CHARDONNAY 2015: Aromas of melon, apple, mandarin orange, pineapple and wet stone, with undertones of honey and caramel present on the palate. Subtle creaminess and full, rounded mouthfeel. Estate grown. Serve chilled.
ROUSSANNE 2014: Classic Roussanne flavors and aromas in the Arché tradition, with grapes sourced from Oswald Vineyard. This wine will age well for many years. Serve slightly chilled. Gold medal 90 points San Francisco International Wine Competition. Rated one of the Top 10 Texas Roussannes by the Texas Wine Journal.
TRUE FRIENDS 2015: A blend of Chardonnay (82%) and Roussanne (18%). Aged sur lie for eight months. Aromas of peach, melon, orange blossom and honey with hints of lemon and caramel. Medium body with a rounded mouth-feel and flavors of citrus and savory notes.
Dry Red and Rosé
TEXAS ROSE 2015: This dry rosé is a blend of our estate Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon produced by a combination of the saignée method and whole cluster pressing. Aromas of strawberry, cherry, peach, watermelon, a hint of white pepper, and minerality, all mirrored on the palate. This crisp, fragrant, dry rosé is perfect for summer drinking and is a remarkable match for many different dishes. Dry finish and balanced acidity. Serve chilled. RYAN’S RED 2016: A blend of our estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Aromas of Bing cherry, violets, plum, blueberry and mocha. The flavors are well integrated with the oak, with more intensity from the fruit. Smooth mouth-feel and very well balanced.
SYRAH 2015: Old-world style Syrah similar to the wines of Côte Rôtie in the northern Rhône: 95% Syrah; 5% Viognier. Aromas of black currant, raspberry, violet, and chocolate molé along with hints of hickory, bacon fat, white pepper and smoke. Full-bodied with a good balance of acidity and alcohol with fine grained tannins throughout the palate. Long aging potential. Estate grown.
TEMPRANILLO 2016: Medium-full bodied Spanish variety bolstered with the addition of 10% estate Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas of plumb, dried fig and sweet vanilla with overtones of tobacco and cedar with hints of clove and dill. Flavors of cherry with a touch of leather, and medium acidity that delights on the palate. Well structured tannin profile that lingers on the finish. Good aging potential.
Sweet and Dessert Wines
YELLOW ROSE: Vinified from the Roussanne grape variety. Fruit forward, with aromas of apricot, honey and yerba mate tea. Great overall balance of just the right amount of sweetness and acidity with a crisp, lingering finish. Serve chilled. Label artwork by DeShay Pounds.
SWEET TEXAS ROSE: A sweet rosé blended from our estate Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon produced by a combination of the saignée method and whole cluster pressing. Aromas of melon, cherry and green apple, with undertones of savoriness. Light structure and well balanced. Serve chilled. Label artwork by Donna Howell-Sickles.
SWEET SYRENITY: Medium-bodied sweet red. Aromas of blueberry, raspberry, chocolate, apple flavored Jolly Rancher and floral notes, mostly red rose. Fruity taste with nice acidity and sugar balance. Serve chilled. Label artwork by Gale Cochran-Smith.
ROUSSANNE DESSERT 2015: Fortified sweet Roussanne with aromas of nectarine, tangerine, star fruit, peaches and honey with floral overtones and hints of toasted coconut and roasted nuts. Sweet flavor of ripe honeydew melon. Very good overall balance of alcohol and sweetness. Perfect for an after dinner dessert or the sauterne enthusiast.
PORTEJAS 2014: Tempranillo Port with aromas of mocha, leather, tobacco, potpourri, cloves and strawberries. Flavors of berries and mocha with a long finish. Moderate sweetness. Aged 29 months in French oak barrel. Pairs great with dark chocolate.
