In the classic style of French cooking, enjoy a meal of beef bourguignonne, with great wines by a warm fire. We will be serving a four course dinner with an appetizer, salad, entrée and dessert, each paired with our award winning wines. Included with the entrée, will be our newest estate dry red blend, Apex. This exclusive wine dinner in the tasting room will be January 27 from 6:30 – 9pm. Apex will not be released until March but you will have the opportunity to enjoy it with the main course and to purchase some as well. Apex is a blend of 49% Syrah, 22% Grenache, 10% Carignan, 10% Mourvedre and 9% Roussanne. Light in color and body similar to a classic Pinot Noir although extremely complex. Aged 6 months in TW Boswell Cotes du Rhone medium-plus toast oak barrels. Aromas of blueberry muffin, cocoa bean and mango, with overtones of terroir driven cherry and sweet peppers. Lighter aromas of potpourri, cloves and allspice with hints of Meyer lemon and melon. Well structured, lean tannins throughout the palate with medium-plus acidity and an elevated glycerine level resulting in an exquisite mouth-feel. Very pleasant lingering finish.
