Are you an ABC (Anything But Chardonnay) wine drinker? We might be able to change your mind with our estate grown 2015 Chardonnay. It just received the Texas Class Champion award for “Chardonnay aged all or part in barrels, $25 – $34” at the Houston Rodeo Uncorked International Wine Competition. We planted our first Chardonnay vine in 1999 and have grown the cultivar to well over a thousand producing vines. This Chardonnay has aromas of melon, apple, mandarin orange, pineapple and wet stone, with undertones of honey and caramel present on the palate. It has a subtle creaminess and full, rounded mouth-feel. It is not heavy on the oak, so is very appealing to many who insist they do not like Chardonnay. Try it for free this weekend in the tasting room and let us know what you think.
